Trailing the First World War - Geocaching in Dahlem
The Geocaching-Tour was developed by the Museum of European Cultures and the Volksbund Deutsche Kriegsgräberfürsorge for the „Feeling War“ exhibition (27. June 2014 to 30. August 2015). The exhibition portrays the intense emotions during war.
A geocaching-tour works like a scavenger-hunt with GPS-Coordination. Significant places of the WW1 will be traced in Dahlem through 4 different geocaching-tours. Hunters will need either a smartphone with Googlemaps or a GPS-device. At every cache you find a QR-Code* that offers information and asks questions about the history of a specific place or person. In order to find the next Cache you have to answer the Clue.
Having trouble finding the Cache? Don’t worry. You can receive extra clues and tips at the Museum Information Office on Arnimalle 25. But please don’t forget to give them back at the end of your hunt. Future hunters may need them.
Have fun hunters!
*In order to complete the tour you must have a smartphone with QR-Code app and internet
